Apocalypse Later Empire

Schedule of Appearances 2017

2016 | 2018

Welcome to the 2017 appearance schedule for Hal C. F. Astell, representing Apocalypse Later, the Arizona Penny Dreadfuls, the Awesomelys, Westercon 70 or just myself.

Here's where you can find out where I'll be doing things out and about, whether I'm running events, working events or selling at events.

Come on out and say hi. Whenever I'm selling my books, they will be priced at less than you'll see on Amazon and I'll be happy to sign them for you.

I'll be back as press for this year's IHSFFF with daily coverage at Apocalypse Later Now! This is my favourite film festival (except my own), not only because it was my first. I reviewed every IHSFFF film, short and feature, plus some other Phoenix Film Festival films and started with an Interview with Monte Yazzie.

LepreCon, our local sci-fi convention, is also Westercon 70 this year, a bigger regional convention. My better half is the chair and I'm the chair's general all-purpose minion (ie the Chair of Vice). As I'll be putting out fires throughout the weekend, I won't be doing much panel work, but I will be hosting an Apocalypse Later Roadshow on the Friday night before the con officially starts and one Awesomely panel too.

This is my own film festival, which is the only annual dedicated genre-based film festival in the fifth largest city in the United States. Year two's event has grown to one full day of genre features and short films. All for a measly $30 and I'm handing out free popcorn! My books will be available for sale at this event.
